*The season of Advent has begun. We are participating in all-school prayer each Monday morning of Advent. We are also keeping a Jesse tree in the classroom as well as an Advent wreath. In addition, we are going to be doing a simple service project during each week of Advent.
*On Wednesday of this week (December 4-8) we celebrated the Feast of St. Nick, enjoyed a pep rally with the students from Boone High School, and completed our first Advent service project. First we prayed 24 Hail Marys for the people who attend the senior center. Then we decorated place mats for their Christmas meal. A big thanks to the family that donated the funds for the place mat kits! We also enjoyed some fun in Prayer Buddy groups.
*We are looking forward to the upcoming Christmas concert and working hard to be prepared to give you quite a show!
*During the second week of Advent, each of the fourth graders will take a turn helping Mr. Richter clean the lunchroom. We also prayed a decade of the rosary for all those who pick up after us--parents, teachers, custodians, coaches etc.
