All Things Sacred Heart

image of Sacred Heart School

Sacred Heart School was established in 1887 by Fr. B.C. Lenihan.  He surrendered the parochial residence so that it could serve as the school building.  Four sisters from the Community of the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary arrived from Dubuque to be the school's first teachers.  The actions of one priest and four sisters created what continues to be a long-standing tradition of Catholic education in Boone.

We are grateful to the individuals and families that have supported Sacred Heart School from it's beginning, those that have joined over the years, and those that currently support us.  We cannot do it without the prayers, faith, and support of all involved.

To show our appreciation we'd like to send you our annual school newsletter.  (You do not have to be an alum to signup we are happy to send one to anyone interested in keeping up with our school.)  Please click here to put your name on our mailing list.
